Product guide
TeSys Deca is Schneider Electric’s range of contactors for motors and power circuits. A contactor is a switch that is controlled by a coil. It lets a small control signal switch a large power load. The LC1D series has 3 pole contactors made for motor control. Ratings reach up to 150A for inductive loads. The LC1DT series has 4 pole contactors for resistive loads such as heaters and lighting, for example the LC1DT80A with 80A in AC-1 duty. You can choose the coil voltage that matches your control circuit, including 24V, 48V, 230V and 415V AC, and 24V DC versions. Many models include 1NO and 1NC auxiliary contacts. Contactors mount on a DIN rail or with screws. Overload relays, auxiliary blocks and suppressors can be added.
Q1: What does the code LC1D12P7 mean?
It is a 12A contactor with a 230V AC coil.
Q2: Can I use LC1DT for motors?
No. It is rated for resistive AC-1 loads.
Q3: Do I need an overload relay?
Yes, for motor starters, unless a GV motor circuit breaker is used.
Q4: Can I add more contacts?
Yes. Fit an auxiliary contact block on top.
