Product guide
The Acti9 iC60L is the high performance model in the iC60 family. It is made for boards where the fault current can be very high, such as industrial plants and large buildings. The breaking capacity reaches 15kA, and some versions go up to 25kA under IEC 60947-2. The series is available with curves B and C for general use, and curve K for motors and transformers that draw a high current when they start. Versions run from 1 pole to 4 pole. The body is the same size as the other iC60 breakers, so it fits the same DIN rail boards. It is suitable for isolation and has a contact position indicator. All Acti9 add-ons work with it, including auxiliary contacts, shunt trips and Vigi blocks.
Q1: What does the K curve do?
It lets the breaker ride through the high start current of motors and transformers without tripping.
Q2: Is the iC60L stronger than the iC60H?
Yes. Its breaking capacity is higher.
Q3: Can I use it in a normal home?
You can, but an iC60N or iC60H is usually enough for a house.
Q4: Is the body bigger than the iC60N?
No. It has the same 18mm per pole size.
