Product guide
Harmony relays are electromechanical relays used in control panels to switch signals and small loads. The RXM miniature relay is the most popular type. It plugs into a socket, so you can swap a relay in seconds without rewiring. RXM relays come with 2 changeover contacts rated 12A, 3 contacts rated 10A, or 4 contacts rated 6A. A 4 contact low level version is also available for small signals. A good example is the RXM4AB2BD, which has 4 changeover contacts, a 24V DC coil, a green LED and a lockable test button. An orange flag shows the contact state. The range also includes RPM power relays for higher currents and slim interface relays for PLC outputs. Relays are used in HVAC, packaging, textile machines, motor controls and building automation.
Q1: Does the RXM4AB2BD include a socket?
No. The relay is sold alone. You need an RXZE socket.
Q2: What does 4 CO mean?
Four changeover contacts.
Q3: What is the test button for?
It lets you operate the relay by hand to check the load.
Q4: Which relay should I use for a small signal?
Use the low level 4 CO version.
Q5: What is a slim interface relay?
A thin relay that sits between a PLC output and a field device.
Q6: How long does the relay last?
Up to 10 million mechanical cycles. Electrical life depends on the load.
