Product guide
A shunt trip release lets you switch off a circuit breaker from a distance. When you apply voltage to its coil, it opens the breaker next to it. Acti9 offers two types. The iMX is the basic shunt trip. The iMX+OF adds an OF contact, which also reports if the breaker is open or closed. Both are used for emergency stop buttons and remote shutdown systems. Control voltage versions include 12 to 24V AC or DC, 48V AC, and 100 to 415V AC or 110 to 130V DC, so you can match your control supply. They are 18mm wide, which is two modules, and they clip on a DIN rail beside the breaker. A front indicator shows when the release has operated. Always choose the voltage that matches your control circuit.
Q1: Does it also close the breaker?
No. It only trips it.
Q2: What is the difference between iMX and iMX+OF?
The iMX+OF also reports the breaker position.
Q3: How do I choose the voltage?
Match it to your control circuit supply.
Q4: Can it work on DC?
Some versions can. Check the voltage code.
