Product guide
The Acti9 iSW is a series of modular switch disconnectors. A switch disconnector turns a circuit on and off by hand and isolates it for safe work. It does not trip on overload, so you use it with a breaker or fuse that gives protection. The series covers ratings from 20A up to 125A, in 1 pole to 4 pole versions for voltages up to 415V AC. Control switch versions with an indicator light are also available. The switches have a clear ON/OFF indicator and a long life, with up to 300,000 mechanical cycles on the 32A model. They are narrow and fit on a standard DIN rail. Accessories like auxiliary contacts, padlocking devices and terminal shields can be added.
Q1: Does an iSW protect against short circuit?
No. It needs a breaker or fuse in front of it.
Q2: Can it be locked off?
Yes. Use the Acti9 padlocking device.
Q3: What is the highest rating?
125A.
Q4: What is the difference between iSW and an MCB?
An MCB trips on faults. An iSW only switches and isolates.
