Lk Samyang AF 85mm F1.8 P FE – Portrait Prime Lens

The Samyang AF 85mm F1.8 P FE is part of Samyang's Prima Series, built around the idea of being a photographer's first proper portrait lens. At only 272g, it is one of the lightest 85mm lenses available for Sony full frame cameras, yet it is designed to give sharp, clear results at the ideal portrait distance of 2 to 3 metres, where facial detail, skin texture and eyes need to look their best. Nine glass elements in 8 groups, including one high refractive index and three extra-low dispersion pieces, help control colour fringing so images stay clean and natural looking. The lens barrel is made from strong engineered plastic, which keeps weight down while still standing up to daily use, and it carries an IP5-level rating for resistance to dust and light moisture based on Samyang's own internal testing. A USB-C port built into the lens allows firmware updates directly from a computer.
