The RODE VideoMic Pro+ is positioned on top of your camera, picking up sound from directly in front of the lens, rejecting unwanted sound from other directions, and providing a higher quality audio signal than most built in camera mics (which typically pick up sound from all directions, resulting in distant, muffled audio). The microphone features a rechargeable battery, providing up to 100 hours of recording time, or alternatively uses two AA batteries (or a USB power source, for continuous use). A high pass filter eliminates unwanted low frequency noise such as traffic or airconditioning, while a high frequency boost makes voices more intelligible. An integrated Rycote Lyre shockmount prevents camera handling noise from reaching the microphone diaphragm.
