LK Samyang AF 50mm F1.4 FE II Lens – Lightest 50mm Lens

The Samyang AF 50mm F1.4 FE II holds the title of the smallest and lightest large-aperture 50mm lens made for Sony full frame E mount cameras, weighing just 420g and measuring only 88.9mm long. Despite its small size, it carries a bright F1.4 aperture, which is a favourite among portrait photographers for its strong background blur and low light ability. Eleven glass elements in 8 groups, including 2 aspherical, 3 high refractive index and 1 extra-low dispersion element, are arranged to keep the image sharp and full of contrast from the centre out to the edges. A Linear STM motor drives quiet, accurate autofocus, and its focus breathing has been kept to a minimum, which helps a lot for anyone recording video where sudden shifts in framing look distracting. This is a lens built for photographers who want the classic 50mm view without the usual bulk.
