Lk Samyang AF 24-60mm F2.8 FE – Premium Standard Zoom Lens

The Samyang AF 24-60mm F2.8 FE covers the range most photographers reach for every day, moving from a wide 24mm view through to a useful 60mm for portraits and detail shots, all while keeping the same F2.8 aperture no matter where you zoom to. This is the second lens Samyang has built together with the German optics company Schneider Kreuznach, bringing added precision to the design. Fourteen glass elements in 11 groups, including three high refractive index, two extra-low dispersion and three aspherical pieces, work to keep the image sharp and colours accurate across the whole zoom range. At just 494g, it stays light enough for all-day carry, and a Linear STM motor gives fast, silent autofocus for both photos and video. Weather sealing and a water and oil repellent coating add extra confidence for shooting outdoors in changing weather.

Built Together With Schneider-Kreuznach

This lens carries the benefit of two optical teams working together, one in Korea and one in Germany, to control aberrations and keep colour consistent from one end of the zoom to the other. This kind of collaboration usually shows up most in tricky lighting conditions, where cheaper zoom lenses often lose contrast or show colour shifts between the wide and telephoto ends.
