Product guide
The Nikon Z fc copies the look of Nikon's classic film SLRs, with metal dials for shutter speed and exposure compensation sitting right on top of the camera. Underneath that vintage styling, though, is a fully modern 20.9 megapixel DX sensor paired with the EXPEED 6 processor, shooting up to 11 frames per second with 209-point autofocus. It comes bundled with the NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 SE, a special edition prime lens built to match the camera's retro design, right down to the knurled metal focus ring styled after lenses from the era of the Nikon FM2 film camera. On this DX body, the 28mm lens behaves like a natural 42mm equivalent, a genuinely useful everyday focal length for street photography, portraits and general use.

Q1: Is the Z fc the same camera as the Z50 under the retro design
It has a similar sensor and processor as the Z50, but a different body design with physical dials and a vari-angle screen as opposed to a tilt screen.
Q2: What focal length does the 28mm lens approximate on this camera
Due to the camera having a DX sensor, it approximates the size of a 42mm full-frame lens.
Q3: Are the dials just for show, or do they have a purpose?
The dials serve as the only physical controls for the shutter speed and exposure compensation on the camera.
Q4: Can we use full frame Z lenses on this camera?
Yes, as the Z fc uses the same Z mount as Nikons full-frame cameras, although full-frame Z lenses will be larger than the body itself.
