Product guide
The NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S carries the title of the world's shortest and lightest f/2.8 ultra-wide zoom, a genuine achievement given how demanding this focal range and aperture combination usually is to build well. It keeps a constant f/2.8 aperture across its entire zoom range, letting photographers use faster shutter speeds without pushing ISO up in dim light, which matters a great deal for astrophotography and interior work. Three aspherical elements keep points of light looking sharp right into the corners of the frame, while both Nano Crystal Coat and the newer ARNEO Coat work together to control ghosting and flare, even when a bright light source sits directly in the shot. A smaller front element means this lens can actually accept 112mm screw-in filters when paired with its included hood, something most ultra-wide zooms cannot do at all.
