Tamron, The Tamron SP AF 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di LD Aspherical [IF] Macro (Model A009) is a highly popular, budget-friendly standard zoom lens designed for full-frame DSLR cameras. Tamron SP AF 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di LD [IF]w,is also available at Sensato Trade platform.
• Focal Range: 28–75mm (covers wide-angle to short telephoto/portrait lengths).

• Minimum Aperture: f/32.
• Optical Construction: 16 elements in 14 groups, featuring Extra Refractive Index (XR) glass and Low Dispersion (LD) elements to control aberrations.
• Aperture Blades: 7-blade diaphragm.
• Minimum Focus Distance: 13 inches (33 cm) with a 1:3.9 maximum magnification ratio for close-up macro work.
• Mount Availability: Canon EF, Nikon F (available in variants with or without a builtin AF motor), Sony A, and Pentax K.
• Image Quality:
o Sharpness: Center sharpness is remarkably high even wide open at f/2.8. Reviewers on The Digital Picture note excellent resolution when stopped down to f/4 or f/5.6.
o Chromatic Aberration & Flare: Highly controlled. Testing published by Imaging Resource emphasizes that color fringing is virtually non-existent, peaking only slightly at the extreme corners.
o Distortion: Noticeable barrel distortion is present at the wide 28mm end (~4%), which transitions into minor pincushion distortion by 75mm.
• Autofocus & Handling:
o Speed and Noise: Because this is an older, screw-driven or early-generation internal motor design, the autofocus is notoriously loud and relatively slow compared to modern ultrasonic or linear stepping motors. Community feedback on Reddit's Canon Subreddit humorously compares the AF sound to a "tractor".
o Form Factor: Its massive selling point is its weight and size. It weighs a fraction of modern f/2.8 standard zooms, making it highly portable for travel and all-day events.
