Solis RHI-5K-48ES-5G 5kW Hybrid Inverter (Dual MPPT)

Solis RHI-5K-48ES-5G is a single phase hybrid inverter for homes that want solar, battery storage and utility power managed by one unit. Its two MPPT trackers handle two separate panel strings, and its voltage window runs from 90V to 520V, which gives plenty of flexibility when designing your array. The off-grid backup function supplies up to 5kW to your essential loads when the grid goes down, and the UPS function keeps the switch quick. Export control lets you limit how much power is sent back to the grid, and the intelligent energy management system schedules when the battery charges and discharges. The model name points to a 48V battery system. Communication is through CAN and RS485, with Wi-Fi, LAN or GPRS monitoring available as an option.

Why Backup and UPS Switching Matter

In a plain grid-tied system, a power cut means no power at all, even in sunshine. A hybrid inverter with a backup output keeps a chosen set of loads, like lights, fans and a fridge, running from the solar panels and battery. The UPS function makes the changeover quick, which matters for computers, routers and sensitive electronics. The energy management system adds another benefit by deciding when to charge the battery from solar and when to use it, so you use more of your own power and buy less from the grid.
