It has an internal optical image stabilization which provides up to 4 stops of stabilization countering the effects of camera shake. The lens has a sophisticated optical design with a composition of 22 elements in 16 groups including 1 FLD and 4 SLD elements, which helps to minimize the chromatic aberrations. Stepping motor autofocus makes the lens perfect for both stills and video as it focuses fast and quietly ideal for handheld shooting of wildlife and sports.
