The Hoymiles LB-5S-G2 is the newer second generation of the LB low voltage battery. It stores 5.12kWh with 100Ah LiFePO4 cells at 51.2V, and the voltage range is 44.8 to 58.4V. It has an IP66 rating which is one notch up from the G1 so it is better suited to harsh weather and outdoor locations. Cold weather performance is enhanced with self-heating technology and module level fire protection adds safety. Quick connectors save installation time. The rated charge and discharge rate is 0.5C. The series offers 5.12kWh, 10.24kWh, 15.36kWh and 20.48kWh in a single tower, and you can connect up to 5 towers in parallel for a maximum of 102.4kWh. The design suits residential use and small businesses that want to start small and add storage later.

The G2 has IP66, self-heating technology and module level fire protection.
