Hithium HeroEE 16 is a residential low voltage battery that starts at 16kWh and expands up to 256kWh. It uses Grade-A HeroEE cells made by Hithium, a major energy storage cell maker. The chemistry is LFP, with a rated voltage of 51.2V. The battery supports 100% depth of discharge. Hithium states a cycle life of up to 11,000 cycles at 25 degrees Celsius, 100% depth of discharge, 0.5P and 70% state of health, which is a very high number. The design offers short circuit protection and surge resistance. Independent modules can be tested or replaced without taking the full system apart, so servicing is easier. The battery is made for indoor, stand-alone installation with IP20 or IP30 protection. It charges from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius and discharges from minus 20 to 55 degrees Celsius.
