Product guide
The CoreTECH Sunwoda 5kWh is the straightforward choice for a home or small shop that wants 5.12kWh of solar storage in the 51V 100Ah size that most 48V hybrid inverters are built for. It uses LiFePO4 chemistry, which is known for safety and a long working life, and it stores 5.12kWh at a rated 51.2V. The charge current is listed at 100A, so the battery can accept power quickly when your inverter has solar to spare, and an integrated battery management system protects the pack with its safety functions. Because it follows the common 51.2V 100Ah format, it is easy to match with a hybrid inverter and simple to expand later by adding another unit. A single battery covers lights, fans, a router, a TV and a fridge through an evening of load shedding.
Energy divided by load gives the runtime. A 500W load, such as a few fans, lights and a router, would run for about ten hours on paper, and a 1kW load for about five hours. Real runtime is a little lower because of inverter losses. If you add an air conditioner, the runtime falls quickly, so a heavier load calls for a bigger battery or a second unit. Your installer can add up your real appliance wattages and recommend a size.
