A 4kg automatic DCP (dry chemical powder) fire extinguisher has been developed for automatic suppression of fires in appropriately sized closed environments and/or as part of equipment specific applications. As opposed to traditional portable extinguishers which need to be activated manually, automatic DCP systems operate automatically via a temperature sensitive activation device once the pre-set operating parameters of the device have been met. These types of systems may be used in conjunction with electric cabinets, machine enclosures, etc., where there is a requirement for early fire detection/response. Prior to installing the system, verify its means of activation, its area of coverage, and whether or not it is compatible with the environment/enclosure that you intend to protect; this will assist in determining if the system provides adequate fire protection for the facility.
Capacity & Agent: 4 kg of ABC Dry Chemical Powder (Monoammonium Phosphate).
Effective for use against: Class A (solid), Class B (liquid), Class C (gas), and electrical fire hazards.
Activates and pressures: At 68 degrees Celsius through a glass bulb. It has an operating pressure of 14-15 bars, and a testing pressure of 25-30 bars.
The design and construction of this product includes a high tensile steel cylinder with a red powder-coated finish, a downward facing sprinkler head, pressure gauge, and ceiling mounting brackets. The operating temperature for the product is generally between -30 degrees Celsius and +60 degrees Celsius.
