Product guide
Once a baby reaches six months, the formula may need to be changed because the nutrient composition is different from the one used before six months. Typically, the transition involves a change to a casein-to-whey ratio of about 60:40 or 65:35, compared to a whey-dominant ratio for younger infants. This is just one of the differences related to a different nutritional profile appropriate for a heavier and more active older baby who has started to eat solid food. Follow up formulas sometimes contain probiotics that support a baby's digestion due to a more diverse diet.

Q1: Why is the ratio of proteins different at this stage?
The formula for babies from 6 months contains a higher content of casein proteins compared to whey proteins. This is because a child’s nutrition from 6 months requires complex proteins that are easily refined by the digestive system.
Q2: Does it contain probiotics?
Many follow-up formulas contain probiotics for better digestion since they are introduced to new types of food. It is advisable to check the package since some versions might not contain them.
Q3: Should I stop giving my child other foods?
No, the follow-up formula is not intended to be used as a substitute for solid food at this stage.
Q4: How AK 2 is different from AK 1?
Unlike AK 1 that is intended for children under 6 months with a higher content of whey proteins, AK 2 is for babies aged 6 months and above with a higher ratio of casein proteins.
